When contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney, brand guru Shaun Neff, and gallery owner Todd Kramer began discussing concepts for Nina’s first step into NFT, they uncovered something all great entrepreneurs are looking for: a problem.
“We felt there was a huge lack of a trusted artist platform that is highly curated in today’s market,” Neff told Entrepreneur. “There are so many projects out there, from the super legitimate to the notorious carpet pullers, and it’s hard to tell what’s good and what’s bad.”
And so, Neff quickly did what he does best. He brought together an amazing team of talented and passionate artists and business leaders to build what they needed that didn’t exist. The result is GODA (Gallery of Digital Assets), a highly curated NFT minting platform for successful and respected contemporary artists.
“The goal is to build a trusted artistic community within this new digital world,” says Neff.
Founding members of the GODA team include visionary Pharrell Williams, winner of 13 Grammy Awards.
“For me, we are building a bridge with GODA,”
he explains.
“It’s effectively a bridge that gives world-class artists a clear and convenient path to take advantage of these new digital opportunities. Traditionally, artists have often relied solely on a centuries-old model. Well done, that’s a new frontier.”
Nina Chanel Abney, whose large and vibrant work can be seen in museums around the world, says she is excited about the opportunities GODA can offer artists.
“I’m always looking for new places where contemporary artists or artists from underrepresented communities aren’t widely available,”
he explains.
“I’m entering completely new territory and while it was a bit overwhelming at first with all the new information I had to learn and process, it was extremely exciting. I had so much fun learning and exploring this space.”
There’s no doubt that NFTs have changed the art world, says Neff. The artistic and financial possibilities are limitless.
“NFTs allow the artist to receive majority compensation for their work and a better opportunity to build community. And the space opens the door to more collectors, allowing for unique uses and advantages that traditional art cannot provide. Additionally, the ability to trade and sell directly is vital for art collectors.”

adds Pharrell.
Despite the novelty of the space and the still unknown possibilities offered by Web3, the heart of this company remains in the passion and hands of the artists. “For me, the development process was not very different visually,” explains Nina.
“For my next NFT project, I handcrafted features and then vectorized everything to further modify it. This is essentially the same approach I use when creating many of my other projects such as: B. murals, commercial products and animations.”
For Pharrell, the collaborative process in NFT is no different than in other media.
“Whether you can make art on canvas or on a digital platform, it still takes talent to create something beautiful,” he says. “What I love about this project is how much further this artwork can go.”
GODA, whose team also includes innovators Easy Otabor, J1mmy.eth and Nick Adler, is gearing up to launch Nina’s NFT soon, and while they’re not disclosing details, Pharrell is confident it will “blew people’s minds.” becomes”.
